“So the rumours are true, I guess I should be congratulating you then… Hokage-sama.”
Naruto’s eyes widened in shock as he caught the reflection of the intruder in the mirror, he spun around to confirm for certain what he had already unmistakably seen.

There balanced against the frame of the window, sat the infamous Uchiha, one leg idly swinging back and forth like he sat there often.

“They suit you… The robes I mean.” Clarified the Uchiha, as he slipped calmly from his perch and into the room. “The hat looks ridiculous however.”

Naruto gaped blankly at the man in front of him, as the missing-nin casually strolled round the room, face blank, hands tucked deeply in his pockets.

“You’re being very quiet.” The dark haired man remarked casting a glance over his shoulder at the silent blonde. “I rather thought you wouldn’t shut-up when we finally met again. Not that I’m complaining, I do think I prefer you when you’re quite.”

Naruto’s hands curled into fists as he watched the impassive Uchiha “Why did you come here Sasuke?!” he spat out at last, eyes narrowing dangerously.

Sasuke picked up one of the photo’s on the desk. “I came to see you of course. The rumours travelled all the way to rock country where I’d been laying low. ‘Leaf is going to make the nine-tailed demon Hokage’ I wanted to see for myself if it were true.” He cast another smooth glace at Naruto, “You didn’t actually threaten to eat the council if you didn’t get the job did you?”

A blush swept it’s way across the Blonde’s face and he pointed accusingly at the other man. “That’s not how it was! I didn’t threaten too, I only said they made me want to!” He crossed his arms firmly over his chest “Those old farts! How dare they spread lies about me, I’m going to be their Hokage by the end of the day. The first thing I’m going to do is kick the lot of them out, the lying old bastards. Tsk, all the way to rock country to. And what are you laughing about!”

The smile on the dark-haired man’s lips stretched a little wider, till a chuckle escaped, “You, I’m laughing at you, you haven’t grown at all.”

Naruto unfolded his arms and strode closer to the Uchiha, robes billowing gracefully as he moved. “Why are you here? You’re no longer welcome in this village; you've already had a second chance you didn’t deserve. Even being Hokage I couldn’t let you return to leaf as a free citizen. Not after all the things you’ve done.”

Sasuke’s calm eyes met Naruto’s “I know.”
